Why are Online Reviews Important?
Why do your online reviews and reputation matter? 80% of people searching for things on the internet, believe reviews, as much as they believe their family and friends! So what does that mean for you?
That means it is mission critical for your business to not only have reviews, but have good reviews as well. Just 1 bad review can take away a lot of the power from the good reviews. Imagine, if all you had were 2 reviews and one of them was bad!
In today’s world, people no longer have phone books to give them an idea of where to look for services and products, so they go online and look at reviews, from places like Google, Yelp, Zillow, etc. If they don’t know your business, they will never find you, if you are not on the first page of Google or in Yelp, Zillow, etc. These are the places, people go to find you or your competitors. Once you have tackled getting on the first page, you have another problem.
Once they have seen your business online, they are going to compare you and your competitors. If your competitor has a dozen new and glowing reviews, and you have none, who do you think the shopper is going to pick? Spoiler alert: It isn’t you.
Also important is the age of the review! If your last review was 3 months ago, or longer, it isn’t taken into consideration, by most shoppers! That is one of the reasons, our software drips out email requests to your current and past customers. If all of your customers reviewed you at the same time, well in 3 months, it just won’t matter that much if you have those reviews over time.
Use us, don’t use us, that is fine, but make sure to make an effort to start getting your customers to leave you a review. Big businesses often give incentives, for people to leave them a review. A few fries or a free beverage, goes a long way.
